Richard Brown
Rick Brown, owner/operator of Vision Claims, is uniquely qualified to handle a variety
of specialized claims. He has 31 years experience handling first-party, third-party
and catastrophe claims and 16 years as an Appraiser, Umpire and Mediator. He is
a licensed All-Lines Adjuster in FL, NC, SC and TX and also holds licenses as a
Construction Class B Contractor and Realtor in FL. His specialized certifications
include Earthquake, Flood (NFIP) and Sinkhole.
Mr. Brown has experience in all areas of residential, commercial, marine, fidelity
and surety adjusting, which he has handled throughout the United States, Europe
and the Caribbean. During his staff career, he served as regional general adjuster
and senior claim representative for such notable carriers as Fireman’s Fund Insurance,
St. Paul Fire and Marine, Commercial Union Insurance Co. and CNA Insurance. He has
attended the following company-sponsored training schools: Commercial Union Coverage,
GAB Fire, GAB Casualty, Commercial Union Intermediate Fire, St. Paul Auto Repair,
and GAB Business Interruption.
Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate from Florida State University.
Certified as a Windstorm Insurance Network (WIND)-certified Umpire since 2006, Mr.
Brown is regularly appointed as an Umpire in the 15th Judicial Circuit (Palm Beach
County) and 19th Judicial Circuit (Okeechobee County) courts and has completed over
400 appraisals and 200 umpire appointments.
Tracy Brown
Tracy Brown joins Vision Claims’ South Florida office as a General Adjuster and
Appraiser/Umpire. She has 12 years experience handling first-party, third-party,
and catastrophe claims as a licensed All-Lines Adjuster in FL and SC and has actively
participated in appraisals and mediations in a number of professional roles. In
2010, Ms. Brown was certified as an Umpire by a Windstorm Insurance Network (WIND)
and Insurance Appraiser & Umpire Association (IAUA).
Ms. Brown has a formal education in journalism (Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwest
Texas State University) and was an award-winning investigative reporter and licensed
private investigator. She has training and proven experience in various information-gathering
and surveillance techniques (still, video and covert) that are applied in the adjustment
of general/product liability, fraud, workers compensation, theft, cargo, and inventory
damage claims. Ms. Brown is certified in Earthquake and Flood (NFIP) adjusting,
is a HAAG-certified Commercial Roof Inspector and holds a Transit Worker Identification
Credential (TWIC) for handling claims in secured areas of ports facilities and on
vessels.
Ms. Brown has worked with engineers and environmental specialists in establishing
and executing environmental cleanup and abatement protocols in the adjusting of
both daily and catastrophe claims.
